The Bishop Callahan Parish Center
For more than 130 years the Basilica of St. Josaphat has been a beacon of hope to the surrounding community. Our bold $2.2 million capital campaign will transform the Parish Center. The revitalized historic building will offer accessible meeting space, community gathering rooms, and formation opportunities for parish members, our youth and our neighbors throughout the Lincoln Village.
Together, we can ensure a strong future for all who call our parish home.

Over the past year and a half, parish leadership has carefully evaluated the future of the parish center to address the growing needs of the community. A pressing demand for accessible and expanded space has emerged, particularly to support food pantry services and other parish programs.
The proposed updates include expanded meeting spaces to accommodate groups such as Religious Formation, Christian Women, Knights of Columbus, young adults, and various evangelization programs.
Upgraded facilities will provide additional space for parish-wide gatherings, events, and outreach initiatives, including the Food Pantry.
A commitment to full accessibility will be realized through the addition of an elevator and ADA-compliant upgrades, making the building a functional and welcoming resource for all, including the elderly, volunteers, and individuals with limited mobility.

The Bishop Callahan Center Renovation Project

Updates to the parish center aim to modernize and enhance the facility's functionality and accessibility for all users.
Key improvements include the addition of an elevator to ensure ease of access to all levels, making the building more inclusive for individuals with mobility challenges. A complete renovation of all levels will refresh and optimize the space for various activities and events. Updated restrooms will be accessible to all, while interior stair improvements will enhance safety and usability. Additionally, the upgrade to the HVAC system will ensure better climate control and energy efficiency, and replacement windows will contribute to improved insulation.
These updates collectively aim to create a welcoming, functional, and comfortable environment for the entire parish community.
Our Goal: $22.2 Million
